Hello all, hope this summer season has been good for you so far! It's been super busy for me, I feel like I'm living out of airports and hotels hahah. It's been fun though, I've been traveling all over seeing some great sites and meeting some awesome people.
The contest season is now in full effect. I've been in full riding, training, and travel, mode since I last wrote in. Been having a bit of an up and down season so far, I did really well at the first PWT stop in Georgia. I was so happy to make finals and kick the tour off with a bang! I then headed to Brazil for the world series stop #2 where I held my own but still didn't place as high as I wanted.
After Brazil were the 2nd and 3rd stops on the PWT, the 2nd one was in Dallas, TX and the 3rd was in Louisville, KY. I had a really misfortunate ride the first day in Dallas and got knocked out of the contest on the first day. I was so bummed, especially after doing so well in Georgia. However, Louisville was only a few days away and I was hungry to redeem myself and gain some points! That's exactly what I did too; I rode solid all weekend and walked away with 7th, missing finals by one little stop. All and all I was extremely happy!
So now we're half way through the tour and i'm sitting in 8th place overall. Not a bad place to be sitting with two more events to go, if I can keep making finals I hope to work my way into the top 5 to round out the tour.
Apart form Pro Tour, I have a few other events coming up too. I'm flying to the UK for the 3rd stop of the World Series next week, it's a really fun event where they mix rails, boat and a huge music festival all together. I'm feeling heathy and I'm riding pretty good, so i'm really looking forward to the next few events.
Hope you all are getting plenty of water time, remember practice makes perfect.
Until next time, see yaa!
