OWC would like to welcome our newest slider to the park. Modeled after a picnic table, this brand new slider is what we like to call a "multi-skill slider".
We'd like to thank everyone for coming out to the first ever Webcast-TV event! A special thanks to all those that watched and voted through the live webcast-tv.com website. Congratulations goes out to Nick Davies of Chertsey, London, UK for wining the Cable Riders division. John Ruark from Orlando, FL, USA took top honors in the Wakeskate division. Jimmy Lariche of Boca Raton, FL, USA won the Boat Riders division.
The Tige US Open was held this past weekend on the island of Marathon in the Florida Keys. It was a fantastic site and the competition was actually held in the ocean. The course consisted of three sliders- an A-Frame, flat rail, and the protour funbox.
We just wrapped up the 2nd of 3 events in the Slider Spectacular Series. The 2nd event was the biggest turnout we've had so far with 74 entries in 9 divisions. The last event will take place on Sunday, November 6th. We've added a $15 late fee for late registrations on Sunday. Normal registration ends at 8pm on Saturday, November 5th. We added a "Sickest Trick Award" as part of our final event of the year. The Sickest Trick Award will be judged off the Big White kicker. We've chosen this ramp cause it's at the end of the slider course. You can throw down your normal routine and go all out for your last trick. Basically, whoever throws the best trick will grace the pages of Wakeboarding magazine.
The funbox is back and better than ever! We converted the top rail into a flat surface, replacing the round pipe surface. This should make it much easier to slide. Extra panels have been added to make the funbox more eye pleasing and to provide additional safety measures.
