After 4 weeks of shredding, it all came down to this: the final stop of our Cable Fever National Points Chase competitions! As in previous weeks, the weather gave us a hard time again, but we didn't give up. After about a half hour heavy rain delay, we kicked off the competition at 6:30PM and managed to finish it around 8:30PM, with the awards being wrapped up by closing time at 9PM.

With 4 weeks of practise under our belts, we got the format down to a science and stuck with our 2nd turn with wildcard trick format. In case of a rider falling during the 2nd turn, we picked him/her up to continue on with their wildcard trick right away.

Now that all 5 weeks are over, we will post the overall top 3 of each division on our website, as well as cablewakeboard.com as soon as possible. For the top 3 qualifiers who will be going to Texas at the end of the season for the National Points Chase Championships, we will have more information to follow soon. This info will be regarding location, dates, tournament information, etc. Please keep up to date with our website and cablewakeboard.com for all the latest news! You can also contact the OWC sales office at 407.251.3100 ext. 0 for more information.

The Cable Fever series are part of the CableWakeboard.com National Points Chase that is connecting riders and parks all over the United States. In October TSR will host the national points championship that will include scoring for both individuals and team contests. Riders must place in the top three at their respective park to qualify to compete in the Championship. Overall will be decided by the top 4 out of 5 events for each rider so that riders can miss a stop or drop their lowest stop's score.

Highlights:

  1. The final stop of our Cable Fever series even brought some international riders to OWC! Marshall & Sean Taylor from the Netherlands signed up for the Intermediate & Advanced divisions and Sean even ended up taking home 3rd place in our Advanced division with some impressive raley airtricks and huge scarecrows off our incline.
  2. Meagan Ethell was back with a vengeance and beat all the guys in the Advanced division with sick overall riding and a huge dumdum off our knee breaker.
  3. Julian Cohen in the Pro division stomped his infamous 900 off our knee breaker!
