Orlando, Fla. - The King of Wake - the world’s elite pro wakeboarding series - announced today where and when the top pro riders will compete for the ultimate wakeboarding crown, with the release of its 2010 schedule. In 2010, the top pros will compete in a series of eight events throughout the United States for one ultimate season-long points chase to see who rules the wake.

Due to changes within our governing body, the IWWF, some things needed to be considered while planning. The Middle-East region now belongs to the Asia & Australia confederation (A/A) and the former EAME has been renamed to E&A (Europe & Africa). The good news is, Israel is sill part of the E&A confederation and therefore the European Championships.

The WWA is thrilled to announce the dates and locations for the 2010 WWA Wake Park World Series (WPWS). In its third year, this is the first series of its kind with an international field of professional wakeboarders competing at cable parks all across the globe.

Personally, I feel a strong moral obligation to help these people who literally have lost everything except maybe hope. With the wakeboard industry being such a tightly knit and privileged community composed of companies, riders, families, and fans, I feel like it is time for us to come together and provide some relief to the suffering occurring in Haiti. Of course there are ways for us to help those in need and still have a great time while doing it.

CableWakeboard.com is inviting every park in the nation to be part of the 2010 National Points Chase. Seven U.S. Parks (McCormicks, TSR, KCW, Mawi, Wake Nation, Revolution and Wake Sport Ranch) have already committed to being part of the series of events that runs from June 15th through July 15th. Each week for five weeks the host park will hold a weekday tournament on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday evening starting at 5pm. The formats will be similar and results will be sent to Cablewakeboard.com to be posted. Riders can gain points no matter what park they are at, but can only compete in one event a week.
