Orlando, FLA — The 2008 Boat Show Season kicked off around the country last week. Correct Craft had a great start with representation in New York, Portland, Houston, Toledo, Northern California and San Diego. Overall, Nautique sales met or exceeded prior years as customers demonstrated their love of the 2008 Nautiques by purchasing new boats.

The Order of Merit is awarded at the discretion of the Executive Board of the International Water Ski Federation to individuals who have made meaningful contributions to the sport of water skiing which do not fall within the guidelines for the Hall of Fame. Cable Wake Parks is proud to announce that Bruno Rixen, the inventor of cable wakeboard and waterski systems is only the third person to be awarded the Order of Merit since it’s inception in 2003.

Orlando, FLA — Correct Craft, Inc. announced that the first 14 employees have completed a new extensive voluntary employee development program.
The Correct Craft employees started this program on September 8, 2007 and finished it on October 12, 2007. During those six weeks, employees attended classes designed to improve their skills spending time in each phase of the boat building process. They also spent considerable time learning about the importance of quality. The course content was developed and taught by leaders on the Correct Craft team.

After sweeping the Tigé Pro-Am Wakeboard Championships, Phillip Soven, 18, of Longwood, Fla., made action sports history as the 2007 Wakeboard World Champion became the first rider ever to win the Pro Wakeboard Tour, the WWA World Series and the King of Wake World Cup in the same year.

For the second consecutive year, the Golden Knights from the University of Central Florida clinched the national overall team title at the fifth annual Supra Collegiate Wakeboard National Championships, Oct. 29-30, at the Orlando Watersports Complex in Orlando, Fla. More than 140 riders from 20 colleges and universities competed for the team title and individual titles in eight divisions divided by gender and ability. Hosted by Rollins College and sanctioned by USA Wakeboard, the event featured competition in wakeboarding and wakeskating and proved to be the largest Collegiate Wakeboard Nationals to date.
